Bonom strikes back

Bonom, one of LDBK’s favorite street artist, kept a low profile during the winter. But now it’s spring time and we’ll hear a lot more about him. Next to the live performance that he presented on the 8th of May at KVS during the KunstenFestivaldesArts (KFDA), Bonom also painted this impressive gorilla.

This performance was the opportunity for KFDA to publish a translation of Valerie Droeven’s great article originally published in De Standaard on the 19th of December 2009 and entitled “A ghost colouring the city – A nightly excursion in Brussels with Bonom”:

Graffiti guerrilla Bonom is conquering Brussels. De Standaard joined him on a nightly excursion on a freezing night. “There are spiders in my head,” he said. And so he painted a large spider on a blank wall high above the sleeping city…
