Ray Charles and GZA: Genius vs Genius
Posted on Sep 27, 2008 by Julius | Share |
Even if i’m not too sure about their current releases, i’ll be a Wu-Tang fan forever. You can’t beat “Enter The Wu-Tang” or any of each member’s first album. They changed rap music back in 93. And RZA - the producer behind the original Wu-Tang sound - was so much on top of his game between 93 and 96 that remixing his work is always a dangerous exercise. But Zero One and J. Mass (Dysposable Heroes) came up with a concept that is certainly worth a listen: using samples from jazz genius Ray Charles to give a new feel to some tracks of the wu tang’s genius also known as GZA.

Did they steal the name off ‘The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy’ or was it the other way around…
love the song!
Don’t know much about those “Disposable Heroes” but they seem to be busy making beats since 97, “The Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy” were active during the early 90′s and their name comes from “The Disposable Heroes of Hypocrisy” … So let’s say nobody stole anything from anybody, it’s just that everything belongs to everybody in hiphop village.
