Let’s go back in the days… 1999. At that time Brussels Hip Hop crews were still releasing mixtapes and heads were hyped on the new Bigshot Demotape: Alee’s boombap beats, G Kut for the scratches and Preachamat’s incredible flow and lyrics. I was a fan and I wasn’t the only one. Many people were expecting it to become the beginning of a new era for french speaking rap in Belgium…

Unfortunately, except for a few appearances on some compilations, there wasn’t any follow up to this demo. G Kut never stopped mixing and Preachamat kept on writing and rhyming but Bigshot would never be the same after Alee decided to stop producing.

Almost 10 years later, the duo is back! G Kut is now responsible for a youth center in one of Brussels’ most emblematic neighborhood (Marolles) and decided to use this opportunity to release a compilation (Los Marolles vol.1) gathering upcoming mcees and musicians. Always willing to give a little something back to the community, Louis and Eric from Infinitskills gave him two of their beats. And guess who rhymed on it? Preachamat! Real music made by real people!
