Weedy’s 2009 beat CD

We’ve been supporting 40 Winks since back in 2003 when they played their first set in the Laid Back show. Since then, every year they bless us with some exclusive preview of their latest productions. In 2008, it was Weedy’s Side Stuff mix (download).

And last week I had the nice surprise to find 5 copies of Weedy’s new beat CD in my mailbox. Brilliant cinematic music from one half of the 40 Winks duo (Antwerp, BE). When I asked Weedy for more info about this project, here is what he sent me:

“It’s a solo project featuring beats I produced during the last months. All the covers are handmade and numbered. Only 100 copies will be printed. No labels, no mastering, … back to where it all started. I’m not going to put the whole project online as it would take away a bit of its charm.”

Just to put you in the mood, here is Weedy’s Brazzaville remix (I hear so many people telling me about those that I hope they will be officially released soon):

I have 2 copies of this beat CD for you. So make some noise and the loudest will get it… otherwise just drop an email to Weedy (wietweedy at hotmail.com) to order one (8€ + shipping).
