Pictures of the Week #36

Posted on April 18, 2009 by Julius

Every year, the Recyclart skatepark in Brussels is painted by a different artist. This year’s featured artist is Pablo Gonzalez aka Sozyone. When I came on Monday it was still work in progress so if you have pictures of the final result do not hesitate to send them to the Laid Back Flickr pool.

On Wednesday, I attended the Music and Bits conference in Amsterdam (Thanks to Nalden) and I had the nice surprise to see that the Sonos team was playing LDBK radio on their multi-room system.

Laid Back jazz specialist, Blast Kid and his crew working on a Bonom documentary for the film school they are attending. They asked me to show them some of Bonom’s pieces in Brussels. Not too sure I am the street art specialist they were looking for but we had a nice time for sure.

On Thursday, Jazzy Sport manager Taro was in Brussels for a couple of hours and I had the chance to meet him (thanks Lefto). More about this meeting in a coming post but installing the LDBK player on a Japanese OS was quite an experience.

It’s been a while we wanted to release LDBK t-shirts but it took us a little longer than expected and we were not really happy with the test prints we received. We will give away those test prints next week (at the Mo’Yo’Fro party, during our FM radio show, through Twitter, Facebook) … just follow us and you might win one.

The official LDBK t-shirts should be available for sale early May.
