Here we are! September 08. That was our deadline during the last months and, except for some (well, a long list of) details, we made it. So now it’s time to sit back, relax and enjoy…

After celebrating our 6th birthday in March, all the parties involved in Laid Back agreed that we should keep this project alive and give it a fair chance to grow. So we decided to spend some time on building ourselves some new tools:

- Our first move was the launch of the Laid Back online radio station (LDBK radio) on the newly created Radionomy platform. LDBK is now featuring 16 dj’s playing 24/7 some of the best urban music from the last 40 years. In the course of the coming months we will keep on trying to make it the radio station we (you?) always dreamt of.

- The Laid Back show is still broadcasted every week on FM Brussel, but now on Wednesday (10-11pm CET) instead of Sunday. Back to what was the original schedule for the show when it started on Vibration radio back in 2002 with still the same goal: bringing you the best music possible.

- In order to give more stability to our project, we created the Laid Back ASBL/VZW. This legal structure is intended to help us promoting our activities, organizing events and exhibitions, releasing records, producing audio or video content and much more… So far the Laid Back ASBL/VZW gathers Ali Nassiri, Xavier Rouet, Gilles Mourlon, Fabian Verhoeven, Pat Gonzalez, Eric Paquet, Louis Van De Leest, Sébastien Nossent, Julien Mourlon

- Last but not least, there is this website. Our virtual home has been refreshed in the best way possible by Ali. We will use it to provide you with news, articles, reviews, visual galleries related to our “All School Flavor” philosophy. Writers and photographers, we are waiting for you.

- We also decided to stop with the mixes on free download. So get those that are still online quickly because they will disappear in the coming days. We hope it’s only a temporary situation, the time for us to get a budget to do it legally. In the meantime, we will offer you beat tapes and free of right mixes as often as we can. If you miss the Laid Back sound, check our FM and online radio programs.

So yeah, it’s a new start and we’re pretty excited about all these new opportunities. Even the Laid Back brother got himself a new haircut to celebrate this new start.
