DaBee’s got soul, it’s official!
Posted on September 15, 2008 by Julius
Soul Official is an international collaboration gathering:
-Spon, an MC who’s been spittin’ for years in the sunny but rugged streets of Florida,
-K.A.I. the funky Tokyo based drum machine also adding freshly squeezed cuts,
-DaBee, Parisian dj and producer on his way to Hanoi who’s doing whatever he can to make a beat out of everything he can get his hands on. For this project, he used K.A.I.’s drums for the beginning and Spon’s voice for completion. DaBee is also a long time Laid Back collaborator and is currently hosting the DaBee’s show on the LDBK radio.
The result of this long musical process involving files being sent over and over through the magical Internet world is about to be released. Here is a first taste: good old soul mixed with tracks from the Soul Official project.
Soul Official snippet mixed by DaBee
“You’ll obviously find some huge soul oriented vibes in our music, it’s the melodic cement that sticks everything together. But you’ll be the judge! Soul, it’s Official!” DaBee
Starting from tomorrow morning we will be playing two tracks from this album (Move Back and The Globe) on our online radio. You’ll be able to buy the album (and the instrumental version) on the soon to be online Soul official website.
Other fresh new tracks imported on the LDBK radio:
El da Sensei - Bomb MC (cuts by Iron)
Foreign Exchange - Daykeeper featuring Muhsinah
Large Professor - The entrance
Busta Rhymes - Packin Them Things (produced by Kev Brown)
LP - A little something (produced by Jellphonic)
