Long before Snoop Dogg or Ol’ Dirty Bastard, there was Blowfly aka Clarence Reid who was a songwriter for Betty Wright, Sam & Dave, Gwen McRae and KC & the Sunshine Band in the 1960s and 1970s. Reid tried to start a singing career under his real name but quickly realized that he had more success with the sex-based parodies of his Blowfly alias.

Since 2005, Blowfly is recording and touring again. He came on the 11th of July 2008 at Bar Mondial (Antwerp, Belgium) where Laid Back photographer Florre took those pictures.
